The distance needed to extend the pull-cord is approximately one inch (see movie) causing the Lazy Tongs to extend approximately six inches. This is plenty of room to hide a card or five up your sleeve. It takes forty plus hours to make each one. My design uses rubber bands to pull the mechanism back, once extended. At this time there is no cable system available. String is attached to your opposite arm and runs across your back. It's hidden under your coat. Every part is hand machined except the rivets. Each one is stamped with the Jay Leslie name. We challenge you to find the Jay Leslie stamp as it's so tiny you'll think it's just a scratch. These all have a light Patina finish to the brass. Surly to be a collectors item. Three to five weeks for assembly. I have enough parts to make several more, then this model will never be made again. | |||||||||
